Rural Development and Research Agents’ (RUDRA) was
formed in July, 2007 with the aim of Bringing Hope to Rural Communities. On 29th
November, 2010, RUDRA was formally registered to operate.
The NGO is a community based one with the aim of
Bringing Hope to Rural Communities through research and development in Ghana.
The NGO aimed at educating, building capacity, civic and human right activities,
supporting rural women by empowering them and children and physically

Our
Story
The mission of RUDRA IS bring out the challenges facing rural people and to
help develop the marginalized, especially, women, children, the youth, the aged
and the physically challenged, through research into socio-economic,
environmental and political.
While
solutions to many problems worldwide can be found on the global stage, the
unique challenges faced by diverse communities can only truly be addressed from
the inside. Successfully tackling the economic, social, environmental, and
political challenges communities face requires community leaders who have the
skills, knowledge, networks and attitudes to motivate and inspire others to
action. With this in mind, RUDRA was developed 2007 to strengthen leadership
that already exists in communities in need.
Our
executive director and founder, Emmanuel Kwabena Naami, was working on
community project with colleague students from the University for Development
Studies at Subinso no1a community under Wenchi municipality in the Brong Ahafo
Region of Ghana in 2007 when the idea formed. Emmanuel Kwabena Naami watched
poor people suffering in all aspect of their lives and how their children are
being affected day-in and day-out in the community. During his
project-research, he released that almost everybody in the community was poor
based on the indictors they used at that time. He watched how children born
from poor parents are been suffered .Emmanuel Kwabena Naami watched those
children grow up, still homeless and become school dropouts, thieves, and all
kinds of immoral behaviors. Emmanuel Kwabena Naami knew there must be a
solution to this cycle of poverty, unemployment, education, etc and that was
why he formed RUDRA.
